Site Carpentry Level 2 Apprenticeship ÎÛÎÛÂþ»This Site Carpentry Level 2 Apprenticeship Standards lasts for a minimum of two years. During that time, you will gain the practical skills you need to become a trained site carpenter and joiner.
Alongside your hands-on, work-based learning you will develop your carpentry knowledge at College sessions. Your employer will pay the minimum apprenticeship wage while you are learning your trade.

Who is this course for?
If you have a keen interest in site carpentry and joinery and would like to learn a highly skilled trade, then this apprenticeship may be the right course for you. You should be employed or have a current offer of employment in the site carpentry and joinery sector.
What you'll learn
The apprenticeship is made up of: College based technical diploma, routine reviews of learning including evidence of knowledge, skills and behaviours, coaching and training to prepare you for EPA, Functional Skills in English and Maths, recording of 20% off the job and work-based NVQ.
Course entry requirements
To join this course, you must have at least 5 GCSEs at Grade 3 or above including English Language and Maths, or to have completed an alternative full Level 2 course with Level 1 Functional Skills. You must be employed or to have an offer of employment with an appropriate employer.
You must also have a strong commitment to working with your employer and College assessor and an excellent record of attendance at school or college.
You must also demonstrate a high degree of enthusiasm and a guarantee to succeed and prepare effectively for employment.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
You will be assessed in a number of different ways and receive regular feedback in reviews to guide your progress. Some of the ways in which your success will be measured are attendance and punctuality, professional knowledge, skills and behaviours, evidence including workplace observations, professional discussions and academic and professional workplace reviews. You will also undertake an endpoint assessment (EPA) to complete your competency in Site Carpentry and Joinery.
You will complete a work-based NVQ through your apprenticeship.
Future career and study opportunities
On successful completion of the course you may be able to progress to the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Site Carpentry and Joinery. You could also obtain employment in the carpentry industry.

As a ÎÛÎÛÂþ» apprentice, you may incur additional costs on your apprenticeship. For example, it is likely you may need to pay for travel and stationery, and for some apprenticeships you may need to purchase specialist equipment.
