Cathy Bowstead
Director of Foundation Learning & Enrichment
Cathy has worked within Further Education since 1994, and she has held the position of Director of Foundation Learning & Enrichment at ÎÛÎÛÂþ» City College since October 2019.
She is responsible for the development of the Foundation and Skills Curriculum including our 16-18 and Adult ESOL provision, 16-18 and Adult English & Maths, Service Industries and our Community Curriculum.
Cathy graduated with a degree in Three-Dimensional Design from Brighton Polytechnic and completed her PGCE while teaching Art and Design.
Her career started in Further Education as a passionate Art and Design Lecturer, a Programme Leader and a Head of Department for Foundation and Community. During this time, Cathy had an amazing opportunity to visit Tanzania on two occasions, representing ÎÛÎÛÂþ». This inspired both her teaching and leadership and has fuelled her passion to work with, and reduce barriers for, disadvantaged groups.
