This course costs £1750. If you are aged 16-18 and looking to study full time; you will not pay any tuition fees. If you are aged 19 or over, you may also be eligible to study for free. Please contact us to discuss your options or visit our Financial Support page.

Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for 16 -18-year-olds who want to develop skills and knowledge in electrical installation.
What you'll learn
This qualification is an introduction to working in an electrical craft and has both knowledge and practical elements. Your study will include basic electrical installation using hand and powered tools, science, communication, calculation of components and safe working practices.
You may also be required to study Maths and English as part of your course if you are progressing from Level 1.
Course entry requirements
Requires English and Maths at Grade 4.Ìý

How is the course delivered and assessed?
This is a full-time course. Alongside your College tutorials, you will be required to take part in work experience and self-directed study.
You will be assessed in a number of different ways and receive regular feedback in reviews to guide your progress. Some of the ways in which your success will be measured are attendance, exams, online assessments, practical assessments and a portfolio of work.
Future career and study opportunities
On successful completion of the course you may be able to progress to a Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation. You could also apply for an apprenticeship in the electrical industry.
Additional costs
As a ÎÛÎÛÂþ» student, you may incur additional costs to attend your course. For example, it is likely you may need to pay for travel and stationary.
You will need your own protective footwear for practical sessions, and will need to buy a workwear uniform. You may also need a high visibility vest, protective goggles and gloves for some tasks. We offer some equipment which is free for you to use in College.
If you are on a limited income, you may be able to receive help from our Learner Support Funding Bursary.
