This course is for adults who need a GCSE in English to progress at work or into higher education. If you dream of going to university or a change of career, applying for English GCSE could be the first step towards achieving your goal.

We also offer part-time courses for adults whose first language is not English and a range of Adult English courses.

We will be in contact with an assessment date to ensure you are enrolled on the course at the right level for you.

This course is designed to develop confidence and competence through tasks and assessments in speaking and listening, reading and writing.

There will be activities designed to improve your grammar, spelling and punctuation, encourage active reading and develop your ability to write for different audiences and purposes.

Previous qualifications are not essential to apply for this course. This is a fast-paced course, so you need to demonstrate established Level 2 skills in both online and written assessments.

You will be taught and assessed by our specialist adult learning teaching team throughout the duration of your studies.

Gaining a grade 9-4 in English GCSE could be the key you need to open doors to either greater employment choices, access to Higher Education courses or further study on a range of university degrees.

If you do not have a GCSE English Language qualification Grade 4 (C) or above all our Adult English courses are free.
