Skills for Business Level 2 ÎÛÎÛÂþ»This qualification provides students with an understanding of the essential skills required to work successfully in a business environment. You will learn the skills needed to solve problems in business, an understanding of business culture and responsibilities and how to successfully communicate and work with others.
There will be an opportunity to develop the skills required to manage and improve your own performance in a business environment.

Who is this course for?
If you want to develop the skills to enable you to work in a business environment this course is for you.
We will help you to develop your skills in business and prepare for work. You must be willing to learn new skills, keen to succeed and prepared to work and study hard.
What you'll learn
You will study topics including:
- Business culture and responsibilities
- Customer service
- How to produce documents in a business environment
- Communication skills
- Working with others in different situations
- How to improve your own performance
In addition, you will learn essential Maths, English and IT skills that employers require in the workplace.
Course entry requirements
4 GCSEs at Grade 3 or above, including Maths and/or English or a Level 1 Diploma in a relevant subject plus GCSEs in Maths and/or English, or a Functional Skills qualification in Maths and/or English.
We will invite you to a Course information meeting event where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
You will provide a copy of your last school report and/or a reference from an employer or relevant professional other. This is to ensure we can support you to be able to achieve well on the course.
Some Level 2 Technical qualifications may require a slightly higher entry requirement based on the specific content of the course. This may include having English or Maths at Grade 4

How is the course delivered and assessed?
You will be assessed via assignments, workbooks, role play and group work. Coursework is completed throughout the one year programme.
Future career and study opportunities
Success on this course will allow you to progress into employment, an apprenticeship or continue to a Level 3 business course.
Additional costs
This course is free to anyone aged 16-18. You shouldn’t expect any additional costs for this course. However, if you are on a limited income, you may be eligible to receive help for any extra costs from our Learner Support Funding Bursary.
